Planning a wedding is a second job. At Fervenza, it's ours: creative ideas that feel like you, our address book, one contract and a price you know up front. Your ally, for the two of you, carrying your whole wedding.

Why we love Château de Garde

A late 18th-century house in the pale stone of Saint-Émilion, and six hectares of vines all around that make the house wine. The estate is yours from Friday to Sunday, your closest people sleeping there. And the picture everyone takes home: the patio, its palm trees, its black and white floor, the fountain lit by candles.

The area

Moulon is a wine village of the Entre-deux-Mers, on the left bank of the Dordogne, 10 km from Saint-Émilion, whose vineyard jurisdiction has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1999. For the guests who come on Friday: the Libourne market that morning, the monolithic church of Saint-Émilion, and a tasting at the great wine estates around.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Château de Garde cost?

From $77,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The château rents you the whole estate for the weekend, and shares its list of caterers. You then bring together the caterer, the service, the drinks, the flowers, the decor, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120 at dinner in the reception hall, and 150 for drinks in the garden. For the ceremony, the park welcomes up to 120 outdoors; the patio suits a small circle.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing. The estate is hired for a full weekend, from Friday afternoon to Sunday.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes: under the gloriette in the park, on the lawn facing the château, under the préau looking onto the vines, or in the patio for a small circle. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Moulon?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Moulon town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is 45 minutes away, Bordeaux Saint-Jean station 45, and Paris 3 hours by TGV and car. On site, 50 parking spaces, and we share the best addresses around the château.

Where do our guests sleep?

On site: 36 beds between the château, the Maison du Métayer and the Annexe, up to 50 with extra beds. Rooms are billed directly by the château, to you or to each of your guests: you decide what you offer. The others sleep in Saint-Émilion, 10 km away, or Libourne. We give you the addresses, ready to share.

Where do we get ready?

In the bridal suite, up in the château's tower: 45 m², a freestanding bath and a view over the park. The château's salons leave room for the other one of you and your people.

Until what time can we party?

Until 4 am. The music plays outside until 10 pm, then the dancing moves into the reception hall, its stone walls and oak floor, with its own dance floor.

Can we have fireworks?

Yes, several weddings here ended with one over the vines, after dinner. We confirm the time and the spot with the château for your date, and we take care of the rest. You just look up.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. The château imposes no one: the table, the music, the photos, you choose. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them and adjust your price.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
