The area

Lourmarin is one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France, at the foot of the Luberon, among vines and almond trees. Its Renaissance château hosts concerts and artists all year round. On Friday morning the market fills the lanes; early arrivals walk to the Château Fontvert vineyard for a tasting, or cycle the quiet roads to Cucuron and Ansouis.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Le Galinier cost?

From $68,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests, in April, May or October: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. From June to September it costs a little more. Your exact price depends on your date and guest count, in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked Le Galinier directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. Le Galinier rents you the bastide and its three houses for 2 days or more, breakfast included. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the decor, the music and the photographer, and the house asks for a wedding planner. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and Le Galinier keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120, for the ceremony, drinks and dinner outdoors. 32 sleep on site; at 32, everyone stays at the estate. Beyond that, Le Moulin round the corner welcomes 70 more.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with Le Galinier and reply in writing. The estate's season runs from April to October.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, under the estate's hundred-year-old tree, your guests seated among the almond trees, or on the lawn in the shade of the tall trees. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Lourmarin?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the bastide. Lourmarin town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at Le Galinier.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Avignon TGV station is 45 minutes away, Avignon airport 46, Marseille airport 55. The house can arrange transfers from any of them, and 32 of your guests sleep on site.

How do our guests get back after the party?

On foot, most of them: 32 sleep at Le Galinier, and Le Moulin, round the corner, takes 70 more. Those staying further out, at Capelongue or elsewhere, have addresses we give you, ready to share with your loved ones.

Where do we get ready?

At La Maison du Chef, the bridal house: 150 m² over three floors, three bedrooms, a private terrace and garden, breakfast in your room and a glass of champagne. If you'd rather get ready apart, the other one of you takes the Loft Blanc or L'Intemporel, three bedrooms each.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes. The Junior Suite, on the ground floor of the bastide, opens onto its own terrace: it's their room. Some apartments have stairs, so we plan who sleeps where with you, and the cars park right at the estate.

And if it rains?

Up to 32, dinner moves to the long table in the Villa Bastide kitchen, and the dancing to the dining room, as every evening after 11 pm. For a bigger party, we set the plan with the house at your visit, a tent in the garden for instance, so your evening keeps its shape.

Can we walk to the village?

Yes, Le Galinier is 600 metres from the centre of Lourmarin. The château is 5 to 10 minutes on foot, the cafés on the square just beyond, and the Friday morning market is two minutes away for those who arrive early.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English. The house team at Le Galinier speaks English too.
