The area

The estate lies in the countryside of Les Milles, ten minutes from the fountains and the Cours Mirabeau of Aix-en-Provence, Cézanne's town. Aix's food market fills place Richelme every morning, and the big market spreads through the old town on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Further out: the Sainte-Victoire, 15 minutes away, and the Calanques, 30.

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Domaine Gao cost?

From $84,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the bastide directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The estate rents you the bastide, its 18 rooms, its reception rooms, its pool and its park, and its team helps you set up. You then bring together the caterer, the decor and the music yourselves. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 150 at the table, and 200 standing in the Salle Gao. In winter, the covered terrace seats 70 by the fireplace. 18 rooms on site, about 40 beds, for your closest people, and the others stay in Aix, 10 minutes away.

Which dates are still free?

The bastide hosts weddings all year round, and the pool opens from May to September. Tell us your date, we check with Domaine Gao and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, under the trees of the park: white benches in the shade, the plane trees and the olive trees around you. Your words, your officiant, your people close by.

Can we have our civil wedding in Aix-en-Provence?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the estate. Aix-en-Provence town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the bastide.

Our guests are coming from far away. Is it easy for them?

Very: Aix-en-Provence TGV station is 7 minutes from the estate, Marseille airport 15. The estate's reception offers a taxi shuttle from the station or the airport, and parking is free for those who drive.

How do our guests get back after the party?

Those sleeping in the bastide's 18 rooms just go upstairs. The others stay in Aix, 10 minutes away, and the estate has free parking on site. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Will our grandparents and the little ones be comfortable?

Yes. The estate is wheelchair accessible, parking is free right on site, and the bastide has family rooms and rooms for three, with cots and high chairs for the babies. Dogs are welcome too.

Where do we get ready?

At the bastide. One of you in a Deluxe room, with its bathtub or its large private terrace, your people next door. The other in another room of the bastide, and the park a few steps away for the first photos.

And if we marry in winter?

The bastide hosts all year. Dinner on the covered terrace, by the fireplace, for up to 70 guests, drinks under the glass roof of the verrière, and the rooms upstairs for everyone to stay warm.
