The area

The mill sits at the foot of the Luberon, a UNESCO Global Geopark, between Ménerbes and Oppède. On the slopes above, the hilltop village of Oppède-le-Vieux: you climb up to its collegiate church on foot, and in August it hosts concerts at sunset. The Coustellet farmers' market sets up a few minutes away on Sunday mornings, and on summer Wednesday evenings. Gordes holds its market on Tuesday morning.

How much does a wedding at the Domaine du Moulin Saint Augustin cost?

From $57,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Your exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you have it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The estate rents you its spaces, its furniture, its sound system and its 5 houses. You then bring together the caterer and the drinks, the service, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 200 at the table in the main courtyard, and 300 for drinks. The estate's tables and chairs are there for 160, and we bring the rest beyond that. At 100, there is plenty of room to dance under the vaults, and 32 of you sleep on site.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the Moulin Saint Augustin and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the estate's olive groves: the chairs in rows between the olive trees, the old dovecote tower behind you. Your own words, the person of your choice to marry you, and your people all around.

Can we have our civil wedding in Oppède?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never on the estate. Oppède town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the mill.

Our guests are coming from far away. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Avignon TGV station is 40 to 45 minutes away, Marseille Provence airport one hour, and the Cavaillon exit of the A7 motorway a quarter of an hour. The estate has its own parking, and 32 of your guests sleep on site.

How do our guests get back after the party?

32 of them only have a few steps to their house. The others stay a few minutes away, at the estate's partner hotel or 4 km off, towards Gordes or Ménerbes. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones, and the estate has its own parking.

Where do we get ready?

On the estate. One of you in the dovecote tower, its bedroom at the very top facing the Luberon; the other in the loft or the Sellerie, with their people. The ceremony is a few steps away, in the olive grove.

Can we visit the mill with our guests?

Yes. The visit goes back in time, from the Cistercian monks and the medieval flour mill to today's oil mill and the olive groves, and ends with a tasting of the two Aglandau oils, raw artichoke and broom flower on the palate. It takes about an hour and a half: perfect on the day after, around the brunch.

And if it rains?

Dinner moves under the drystone vaults, which seat 100 guests, right by the dance floor. If you are more, a nomad tent goes up in the main courtyard for about 200, and the party stays in the same place. The tent is booked ahead, and we decide on it with the weather, a few days before.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes: the estate is accessible to guests with reduced mobility, with parking on site. For sleeping, we keep them an easy-to-reach house rather than the treehouse or the top of the dovecote.
