Why we love Domaine du Grand Lauron

A spring turned into a lake ringed with willows, a 17th-century farmhouse around a courtyard and its great plane tree, 11 hectares of orchards. The estate all yours, 4 km from Lourmarin. And after dinner you dance facing the lake, the glass wall thrown open: that's the picture your guests take home.

    • Ceremony by the lake

in the shade of the willows, then drinks among the fruit trees

    • The dance floor faces the lake

the glass wall thrown open, the party spills out into the park

    • Rain plan

the reception hall, 150 seated under its old timber frame

  • Practical

    • 37 beds on the estate

      in 18 rooms

Rooms are billed directly by the estate, to you or to each of your guests: you decide what you offer.

    • 30 min from Aix-en-Provence

Aix TGV station 40 min away, Marseille airport 45 min

  • The gravel courtyard of the Domaine du Grand Lauron between its two old stone farmhouses, a large plane tree and Virginia creeper on the walls
Arriving in the courtyard, under the plane tree
  • Rows of wooden chairs and a flower arch set for a ceremony on the lawn by the lake, under the willows of the Domaine du Grand Lauron
Your vows by the lake, under the willows
  • A lounge corner of rugs, poufs and lanterns on the grass of the orchard, tables dressed in white under the fruit trees, Domaine du Grand Lauron
    Drinks in the orchard
  • Round wooden tables laid for dinner in the courtyard of the Domaine du Grand Lauron, string lights above, the plane tree and the creeper-covered walls
Dinner in the courtyard, under the string lights
  • The reception hall of the Domaine du Grand Lauron set with round tables, under its old timber beams, the glass wall opening onto the park and the lake
Then everyone dances, facing the lake
  • The pool of the Domaine du Grand Lauron, its wooden deck, sun loungers and white parasols, the pool house at the far end
The next day, brunch by the pool

The area

The estate lies on the valley floor below Cadenet, a village on the south side of the Luberon overlooking the Durance, and 4 km from Lourmarin, one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France, with its Renaissance château. Cadenet's market is on Monday morning, Lourmarin's on Friday morning. And Aix-en-Provence is 30 minutes away.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Domaine du Grand Lauron cost?

From $57,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests, on weekdays in April: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Summer weekends cost more. Your exact price depends on your date and guest count, in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The estate rents you its 11 hectares, its tables, chairs and sound system. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 150 seated, in the hall facing the lake or in the courtyard under the stars. 37 of them sleep on the estate; the others stay in Lourmarin, 4 km away, or in Cadenet next door.

Which dates are still free?

The estate hosts weddings from April to October, and on weekends in December and January. Tell us your date, we check with Domaine du Grand Lauron and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, by the lake: the chairs on the lawn, in the shade of the weeping willows, the water behind you. Your words, your officiant, your people around you. And afterwards, your photos on the wooden jetties.

Can we have our civil wedding in Cadenet?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never on the estate. Cadenet town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the estate.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Marseille Provence airport is 45 minutes away, Aix-en-Provence TGV station 40, and Aix-en-Provence itself 30. And 37 of your guests sleep right on the estate.

How do our guests get back after the party?

37 of them only have the courtyard to cross. The others stay in Lourmarin or Cadenet: we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

How late can we dance?

Late: the estate allows music until 4 am. The dance floor is in the hall, its glass wall open onto the lake, and 37 of your guests sleep a few steps away.

Where do we get ready?

On the estate. One of you in the bridal suite, with its freestanding bath and its corner for hair and make-up. The other in the big lounge with its stone fireplace, or at the estate's bistro, with its bar and its table football.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes, everything happens on the estate, from the lake to the courtyard and the hall, and the rooms are air-conditioned. The estate's rooms are not fitted for wheelchairs: for a guest with reduced mobility, we book an adapted room nearby.

Where does the estate's name come from?

From the Provençal "Lauroun", the spring rising at ground level. The estate has always had its natural spring, and in 2000 it was given a 2,000 m² lake, now ringed with willows: the lake where you will say yes.

And if it rains?

Everything moves into the reception hall, which seats 150 under its old timber frame and hosts ceremonies too. The glass wall still looks out onto the lake, and the dance floor stays right there.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
