Why we love Mas d'Arvieux

Up a lane of cypresses through the olive trees, a 16th-century Provençal farmhouse, a mas, built on the site of a Roman villa, and century-old plane trees where drinks feel like a village square. The mas all yours, near Tarascon. What your guests will talk about on the way home: dinner under the pavilion's ceiling of lights.

guests at the table, under the covered pavilion

120 in the barn, when the season turns cooler

The area

The mas sits at the foot of the Montagnette, between Tarascon and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. In Tarascon, King René's castle stands on the banks of the Rhône, and the market is on Tuesday morning; Saint-Rémy's is on Wednesday. The Montagnette hills start a five-minute walk from the mas, and up in them stands the abbey of Saint-Michel de Frigolet, first recorded in 1133.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Mas d'Arvieux cost?

From $57,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Rooms are billed directly by the mas, to you or to each of your guests. Your exact price depends on your date and guest count, in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the mas directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The mas rents you its estate, 30 beds and breakfasts included, and opens its address book. Then you gather the caterer, drinks, decor and flowers, photographer, DJ and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, except the rooms, which the mas bills directly. Every choice stays yours, and the mas keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 150 at the table under the covered pavilion, open onto the park; 120 in the air-conditioned barn, in autumn or if rain drops by. 30 of them sleep at the mas, the others in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence or Tarascon.

Which dates are still free?

The mas hosts weddings in every season, moving indoors when autumn comes. Tell us your date, we check with Mas d'Arvieux and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, wherever you like: under the great laurel, in the clearing of the park, or in the middle of the lavender. In autumn, under the covered pavilion, by the fireplace. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Tarascon?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the mas. Tarascon town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the mas.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes. Avignon TGV station is 10 minutes from the mas, and Paris 2 h 40 away by TGV. Those flying in land at Marseille Provence, the big international airport, or at Nîmes. Several couples have brought their guests over from the United States, and 30 of your people sleep on site.

Until what time can we party?

Until 4 in the morning, in the air-conditioned barn, with its sound system and projector ready for your DJ. Dinner is under the covered pavilion right next door, so the dance floor simply takes over.

How do our guests get back after the party?

30 of them are a few steps from their room. The others stay in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, less than 15 minutes away, or in Tarascon.

And the heat in July and August?

The ceremony in the late afternoon, once the heat drops, and drinks in the shade of the century-old plane trees. The barn is air-conditioned for the party, the rooms too, and the stone pool waits for you in the morning.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes. The estate is accessible to guests with reduced mobility and everyone parks on site. The whole day happens on the estate: the covered pavilion and the barn sit side by side, and the ceremony is a few steps from the mas. Those staying over only have a short walk to their room.

Where do we get ready?

At the mas, in its air-conditioned rooms, made for getting ready. One of you in a suite, the other in one of the estate's cottages, your people next door and the ceremony a few steps away.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
