The area

The estate lies between Lorgues and Flayosc, two villages of the Var. On Tuesday mornings, the big Lorgues market sets up below the village's 18th-century collegiate church. Close by, the Cistercian abbey of Le Thoronet, famous for its acoustics; further up, the Verdon gorges for a day outdoors. On the estate itself: a class at the cooking school, or a helicopter flight over the vines.

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Château de Berne cost?

From $120,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you the Scène sur l'eau, the Jardin du Jasmin and 10 rooms for your wedding. You then bring together the caterer, the flowers and decor, the music and lighting, the photographer and videographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120. The Jardin du Jasmin seats 120 for dinner and the amphitheatre welcomes 120 for the ceremony. We shape the format with you.

Will other hotel guests be around?

In our base, the hotel stays open to its guests, and your big moments have their own places: the Scène sur l'eau, then the Jardin du Jasmin glasshouse. For an estate all yours, the exclusive-use package books all 34 rooms, the pools, the spa and the restaurants, with the party until 5 am. Only the Bistrot and the wine shop stay open to the public.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing. The hotel is open all year and the Jardin du Jasmin glasshouse is heated, so a winter wedding works beautifully here too.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, on the Scène sur l'eau: a round stage set on the lily pond, your people around you on the amphitheatre's stone steps. Your words, your officiant. If it rains, the Jardin du Jasmin glasshouse takes the ceremony.

Can we have our civil wedding in Flayosc?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Flayosc town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Where do our guests sleep?

On the estate: 34 rooms and suites at the hotel, the château and its 7 bedrooms, and villas for 2 to 15 people. Rooms are billed directly by the estate, to you or to each of your guests: you decide what you offer. After the party, those sleeping on the estate walk back to bed.

Where do we get ready?

In your suite at the hotel, with the 800 m² spa a few steps away: indoor pool, hammam, beauty treatments. Hotel guests have free access to the spa, handy for the morning of the big day.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Les Arcs-Draguignan TGV station is 25 minutes away, Toulon airport an hour, Nice 1 h 15, Marseille 1 h 30. The château offers transfers from the stations and airports, and even a helipad, 15 minutes by air from Saint-Tropez.

Can we get married during the grape harvest?

Yes, and it's a lovely season here: from September to the end of October, the estate lives to the rhythm of the harvest. Your guests can tour the cellars and taste the estate's organic wines at the cellar, open every day.
