The area

Lussan is a fortified village on a rocky spur, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France; its late 15th-century castle is the town hall, with a painted ceiling protected as a historic monument. On Saturday morning, the big market on the Place aux Herbes in Uzès; just north of the village, the trail through the Concluses gorges.

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at La Bastide de Lussan cost?

From $60,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the bastide directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The bastide rents you the whole estate, with its 35 beds, its furniture, its sound and lights. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the flowers, the decor, the DJ, the photographer and the running of your wedding. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the bastide keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120 at dinner in the courtyard, and up to 110 under cover in the barn and its patio, if the evening turns cool. The tables and chairs for 120 are already there. 35 of you sleep at the bastide, 50 with the Bastidon, 1 km away.

Which dates are still free?

The bastide hosts weddings from April to October, at the weekend from Friday to Sunday, or midweek from Tuesday to Thursday. Tell us your date, we check with La Bastide de Lussan and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the gardens facing the village: under the wrought-iron gazebo, among the olive trees, or in the shade of the old trees, where wooden benches are already waiting for your guests. For a religious ceremony, Lussan's church and temple are close by.

Can we have our civil wedding in Lussan?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall. Lussan's is in the village castle, built in the late 15th century: it can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the bastide.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: the bastide is 50 minutes from the centres of Nîmes and Avignon, and 20 minutes from Uzès. Their TGV stations and airports, and those of Montpellier and Marseille, are on the map above, with the drive times. 35 of your guests sleep on site, and we send everyone else the addresses.

How do our guests get back after the party?

35 of them just cross the courtyard, and the Bastidon is a short walk away, 1 km. For those staying in Lussan or in Uzès, the estate offers a taxi until the end of the party, and nobody has to drive.

Where do we get ready?

One of you in the 60 m² bridal suite, under the wooden beams: a dressing table, mirrors, a lounge to welcome your people, hair and make-up, and a vintage clawfoot bath. The other in another house on the estate. The suite is yours from Friday noon to Monday morning.

And the heat in July?

We set your vows in the late afternoon, in the shade of the old trees or under the shade sails in the gardens. The barn is air-conditioned, and the pool waits for your guests after lunch.

Will our grandparents and the little ones be comfortable?

Yes. Guest parking is on the estate, and the venue says it is accessible to guests with reduced mobility: we choose with the bastide the easiest house for your grandparents. For the children, baby equipment on request, a secure pool, table football and the pétanque court.
