Your wedding at Château Rieutort

From $56,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests in April, the big day and the day after: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. For the full weekend, or a date from May to October, the price follows the château's seasons. The exact price for your date, in writing within a week.

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you its estate, its 60 beds, 11 tables and 100 chairs, and hands you its address book. You then bring together the caterer, the service, the flowers, the music, the lighting, the photographer and, beyond 100 guests, a marquee. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

Up to 100 at table in the château's reception room. Beyond that, a marquee goes up in the park, and the party can welcome up to 200 people. 60 of them sleep on site.

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing. Weddings run from April to October; May, June, July and September often go 12 to 18 months ahead, and in high summer the château books for a long weekend at least.

Yes: in the park under the plane trees planted in 1755, in front of the château's facade, or by the fountain and its avenue of cypresses. Secular, humanist or a blessing: the château welcomes all three, and your officiant too.

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Saint-Pargoire town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Yes: Béziers airport is 35 km away, Montpellier airport 50 km, and the TGV stops at Agde, Sète and Montpellier. The château can arrange transfers from the airports. For those not staying on site, we share the best addresses around.

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

The caterer you choose with us: the château leaves the choice open, from a seated dinner to a food truck, from oysters to a barbecue. The wines come from the estate: reds, whites, rosés and a champagne, served at table. All of it is in your price.

Rain plan: a marquee in the park, for the ceremony as well as dinner, and the château's reception room, with 100 seats at table. We plan it from the start and decide together a few days before.

In the Syrah suite, on the second floor, with its private jacuzzi on the terrace, or in the Orangery, for the space and the light: that is where most couples get ready. If you'd rather get ready apart, one of you takes the suite, the other the Orangery.

Yes: the Cinsault suite, on the ground floor, is wheelchair accessible, and the Pigeonnier gîte is all on one level. Someone helps everyone park, for the little ones, the pools close with an electric cover, and dogs are welcome too.

60 of them sleep on the estate and just cross the park. The others stay in Pézenas, 12 km away, or in the guest houses of the villages around: for them, we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones. And the château has parking for 100 cars.

Yes: the cellar opens every day at 6.30 pm for a visit and a tasting, free for everyone staying at the château. Vermentino, chardonnay, syrah, grenache: the estate's shop can also ship their favourite bottles home.
