Why we love Château des Briottières

An Orangerie for 180 at table, up to about forty of your people sleeping on site. And what your guests will tell on the way home: the house says George Sand and Chopin stayed here.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Château des Briottières cost?

From $59,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you the Orangerie, its tables, its chairs and its kitchen for your caterer, and depending on the formula the Fruitier, the château and the park. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the music, the flowers and the decor. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 180 at table in the Orangerie, and up to about forty of you can sleep on the estate with the total privatisation. From a family weekend for 40 to the big party, the château keeps up.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing. It opens from late March to early November, and out of season on request for a private event.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes: the fifty hectares of English-style park, lawns and century-old trees around the pond, are made for open-air secular ceremonies. We choose the spot together during the visit. You choose who marries you, in English, French or both, and what gets said.

Can we have our civil wedding in Champigné?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Champigné belongs to the town of Les Hauts-d'Anjou, whose town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Paris is 1 h 30 from Angers by TGV, and the château 35 minutes from Angers. Nantes airport is 1 h 30 away, Paris-CDG 2 h 30. Up to about forty of them sleep on the estate with the total privatisation, and for the others we share the best addresses around.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

How do our guests get back after the party?

Those who sleep on the estate are already home. The others stay in the villages around or in Angers, 35 minutes away, and the château has its own parking. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

How late can we party?

The château's wedding listings mention no time limit for the end of the evening, and we confirm it with the château for your date. The party is in the Orangerie, and with the total privatisation those still up carry on at the billiard table.

Where do we get ready?

If you take the château, in one of its suites: the Chambre Rose, looking out on the pond and full of evening light, or the Charles X room and its south-facing balcony over the park. Otherwise we find you a quiet corner of the estate together.

And if it rains?

The Orangerie seats up to 180 guests at table under cover, so dinner and the party carry on whatever the sky does. With the total privatisation, the château's salons, its library and billiard table are yours too. For the ceremony, we plan the indoor option together during the visit.

Will our grandparents and the children be comfortable?

Yes. Two ground-floor lodgings at the Fruitier, the Potager room and the Provençal apartment, welcome guests with reduced mobility. The château has no lift, so its rooms go to the sprightliest. For the children: cots on request, croquet, ping-pong, bikes and the pool.

Did George Sand and Chopin really stay here?

So the house tells it, and it keeps the memory alive: Madame de Staël loved the place, George Sand and Chopin stayed here, and the film Impromptu, about their love story, was shot at the Briottières. Guests who sleep at the château rest under the same roof.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. For the table, the caterer is your choice, and the Orangerie has its own kitchen for them.
