The area

Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, climbs its rocky spur where the Céou meets the Dordogne, 15 km from Sarlat. Sarlat's market on Wednesday morning and all day Saturday, the museum of medieval warfare at Castelnaud castle and its trebuchet, the birds of prey at Les Milandes: plenty to do beyond the estate whenever the mood takes you.

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Château de Lacoste cost?

From $59,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you its estate and its bedrooms, housekeeping and linen included, with a minimum booking. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the cake, the decor, the flowers, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

We build your wedding around 100 guests, and the estate welcomes more: up to 130 seated, and a couple dined outdoors with 110 in June 2026. Up to 55 can sleep on the estate, at the château and in its 4 houses. Tell us your number, we confirm with the château.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes: under the trees of the park, beside the formal garden, or in the estate's neo-Gothic chapel, under cover. You write the ceremony that feels like you, we set the scene.

Can we have our civil wedding in Castelnaud-la-Chapelle?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Castelnaud-la-Chapelle town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Brive airport is 57 km from Castelnaud, and Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse also serve the area. By train, Sarlat-la-Canéda is the nearest station, and Souillac and Brive are on the Paris-Toulouse line. To sleep nearby, we give you the best addresses around the château, ready to share with your loved ones.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

How late can the party go?

As late as you like: the château sets no end time, and hosts a single wedding a day. The party carries on in the grand salon. We confirm the château's rules for music outdoors, in writing, for your date.

Who cooks for our wedding?

The caterer you choose. The château imposes none; we pick one together among the Périgord houses, you taste the menu beforehand, and it is included in your price. The wines too, with no corkage.

What if it rains?

Rain plan: the château's five salons and its three dining rooms, for the ceremony as well as dinner. And the neo-Gothic chapel stays there for your vows, under cover.

Where do we get ready?

In the château's bedrooms, in an interior renewed about ten years ago. One of you at the château, the other in the Stables or the courtyard apartment, if you'd like to see each other for the first time at the ceremony.

Which castles can we see from the garden?

Castelnaud, 2 km away, and Beynac, nearly 5 km away, across the Dordogne. During the Hundred Years' War they faced each other, one English, the other French. Something to talk about over drinks.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. The château imposes no caterer, photographer or DJ: the choice is yours.
