The area

The estate lies in the Pinchinats quarter, north-east of Aix, facing Mont Sainte-Victoire, the mountain Cézanne painted again and again. Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French all-inclusive wedding company. With Émilie and the whole team, we’re already planning the weddings of 2027 and 2028.

  • French company, licensed live-event producer Your contract is governed by French law
  • Covered by professional liability insurance
How much does a wedding at Château de la Gaude cost?

From $600,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue and its rooms, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once we’ve agreed, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, a wish added along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can’t make it?

We replace them. They’re our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd’s. It covers canceling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can’t be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château hires you its estate and its 25 rooms, with its starred kitchen and its cellar. You then bring together the furniture, the tableware, the decor, the flowers, the music and the photographer, all extras. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 150 in the gardens and 120 at table on the restaurant terrace. 66 of them sleep at the château, the others in Aix, 10 minutes away. The wine cellar welcomes up to 60 for drinks.

Will other hotel guests be there?

Not on your big day: the estate is privately hired and its three restaurants close to the public. The 25 rooms are your guests' for your wedding. Only the wine shop and the spa keep their visitors.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the listed French garden, by the pools, with the bastide behind you. The château welcomes religious ceremonies too. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Aix-en-Provence?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Aix-en-Provence town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Where do we get ready?

In the bastide: the Mademoiselle suite, 66 m² with its own sitting room, looks over the French garden. The château's spa offers its treatments too, for you and your closest people, before the big day.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Marseille airport is 30 minutes away, Aix-en-Provence TGV station 20, Nice airport 2 hours. The château arranges private transfers on request, and we share the best addresses around.

How do our guests get back after the party?

66 of them sleep at the château, a few steps from the dance floor. For the others, Aix is 10 minutes away, and the château's private transfers take them back to town.

Will our grandparents manage?

Yes: the hotel is accessible to people with reduced mobility, with an adapted bedroom, valet parking and a covered car park. We give your grandparents rooms in the bastide or the farmhouses next to it, closest to the garden, and place the ceremony and dinner where everyone moves around easily.

And the heat in July?

The ceremony is at 5 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm, when it softens. The Pinchinats quarter is naturally sheltered from the mistral, which keeps the estate fresher.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
